As F1 moves towards providing opportunities for women in motorsport, the F1 Academy is the latest step in the right direction. But other motorsports series have long had women behind the wheel. OnlyF favorite Renee Gracie gets ready to get back in the driver’s seat.

The former two-time Bathurst 1000 runner is determined to fulfill her dream of returning to Australia’s most prestigious motorsport event. This isn’t Gracie’s first attempt at returning to the sport after retirement.

In 2021, Renee Gracie grabbed headlines with her ambitious $1 million return to racing. Their strategy was to buy their own team in the hopes of revving their engines and racing the famous Bathurst.

However, their plans have not been welcomed by Supercars officials, who see it as little more than a publicity stunt to draw attention to their explicit content platform. “She’s just using the campaign to sell more videos. It’s not even worth commenting on because it’s not going to happen.”

After competing in the Carrera Cup and Super2, Renee Gracie made the decision to leave racing at the end of 2017. Her focus shifted to creating definitive content on OnlyF, which ultimately proved to be a profitable and successful endeavor for her. However, her passion for racing never waned and she is now ready to make a comeback to take on the Bathurst 1000 with determination and a new sense of purpose.
