Drop everything now: Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly split after 6 years.
Shortly after the start of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, another era came to an end. Singer Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have split after six years together.
The 33-year-old”Midnights”actor and the 32-year-old”Talk With Friends”starsplit a few weeks ago, Entertainment Tonight reported on Saturday.
Without citing any sources, ET also noted that the breakup “wasn’t dramatic” and that “the relationship just ended.”
Swift and Alwyn representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Los Angeles Times on Sunday.
Swift began dating Alwyn in 2016 after dating several big names in entertainment, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, Joe Jonas, John Meyer and Harry Styles. In her documentary 2020 Miss Americana, the pop musician said she was attracted to the lesser-known Alwyn because of his “wonderful, normal, balanced lifestyle.”
My relationship [with Alwyn] for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it,” Swift said in October while promoting the “Midnights” track “Lavender Haze.
“This song is about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.”
Throughout their relationship, Alwyn Swift helped write several songs under the William Bowery name, most recently on the track”Sweet Nothing” from her latest Grammy-winning studio album. He also worked on several songs from Swift’s last two albums, Folklore and Evermore.

Reports of the breakup surfaced about a week before Swift is set to travel to Tampa, Fla. — the fourth city on her sold-out Eras Tour. Alwyn most recently appeared opposite “The Last of Us” star Bella Ramsey in the critically acclaimed medieval comedy “Catherine Called Birdy.”
