In Kanker, Chhattisgarh, the district administration suspended the principal of a government high school after he was allegedly caught in a sting operation by villagers engaging in se*x in the school.
The principal has been put on leave by the administration.
The principal and a female staff member were seen in a social media video having se*x in the school’s storeroom.
A viral audio clip of the principal allegedly negotiating with someone offering him a bribe for not uploading the video to the internet also circulated on social media, according to media.
The administration, however, conducted an investigation and suspended the principal after the villagers complained to District Collector Chandan Kumar.
According to District Education Officer TR Sahu, an investigation followed the receipt of a complaint.
The collector on Thursday suspended the principal in light of the investigation’s conclusions.
