Liverpool could receive £17.5m from Barcelona as Catalan club ‘prepared to give’ Philippe Coutinho another chance next season

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Barcelona want to recall their loan stars instead of signing new players and this could mean the return of Philippe Coutinho to Camp Nou next season.

The deal that took the Brazilian forward to Spain from Anfield was for an initial fee of £105m.

However, among the add-ons was a payment of a further £17.5m once Coutinho had played 100 games for his new club – he is currently on 76 and if he returns and makes 24 more appearances, Barcelona will pay up

news comesfrom Mundo Deportivo who claim that coach Quique Setien is ready to give the 27-year-old midfielder one last chance to succeed with the La Liga side.

The former Inter Milan player has had a rough time after leaving Anfield, as his dream move to Barcelona has not panned out as well as he would have hoped.
