Shortly after 11-year-old Gannon Stauch was reported missing in 2020, his stepmother’s half-brother saw her dragging a heavy suitcase while helping her move out of their Colorado home, he testified Tuesday.

According to prosecutors, Dakota Lowry did not know at the time that the body of the missing boy was in that suitcase.

In court on Tuesday, Lowry was on the stand to testify on behalf of his half-sister Letitia Storch, who overcame the emotional weight of the child’s murder, accused of killing her stepson.
