He also mentored thousands of pastors and evangelists.
Personal life and death
He was married to Pastor Philomena Uma Ukpai and they had eight biological children and one adopted child. He shared openly about losing two children in a car accident. Reverend Dr. Uma Ukpai passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80, with his family and notable figures, including President Bola Tinubu, confirming his death and honoring his impact.
