Victor Osimhen began his football journey at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. His talent was spotted during the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, leading to a pre-contract agreement with German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg in January 2016, which he officially joined in January 2017. He spent a year and a half with Wolfsburg but found playing time limited.
In August 2018, he moved to Belgian club Charleroi on loan. This move proved to be a turning point in his career as he rediscovered his scoring form, netting 20 goals in 36 appearances during the 2018-19 season. Charleroi made the move permanent in July 2019.
